Juls is hosting a five-day exhibition and documentary screening of his debut film Travelling Man: Com Amor Brazil at The Department Store in Brixton from June 8 to 12.

The film, directed by Juls and Oluwatomisin Okeowo, delves into the historical, spiritual, and musical connections between Africa and Brazil. It was inspired by the British-Ghanaian DJ and producers journey to Brazil for a gig, where he discovered the profound ties Brazil has with Ghana, particularly through the Afro-Brazilian Tabom community, descendants of formerly enslaved individuals who returned to Africa and contributed to the establishment of the Jamestown area in Accra.

Speaking about the film, Juls remarked: “This project is more than a film. It’s a celebration of the roots we don’t always see - and the rhythm that connects us all.”

The film features an original EP that blends transatlantic, diasporic influences, set to be released on June 20.

The film marks the first part of a planned Travelling Man series, which is expected to consist of four installments.
