A New 2,000-Capacity Nightclub Has Opened in Birmingham, Forum Digbeth

A brand new 2,000-capacity nightclub has opened in Birmingham from the team behind Forum Birmingham.

Forum Digbeth opened its doors for the first time on Saturday (May 31), featuring a performance from amapiano star Uncle Waffles, marking a “new chapter” for the club after the closure of Forum Birmingham earlier this year.

“Following the sad, unexpected and indefinite end of Forum Birmingham in April due to the closure of the Corporation Square building by its landlords, the team behind the acclaimed venue has secured a new home which will allow them to continue to offer up some of Birmingham’s most essential events,” they announced on Instagram yesterday (June 5).

In October 2024, Forum Birmingham was temporarily closed by Birmingham City Council following the death of a 22-year-old man who had attended the venue.

The club later reopened in November 2024, issuing a statement that read: “The welfare of everyone attending Forum Birmingham is at the centre of everything we do.” The 60-year-old venue ultimately closed for good in April 2025 due to a scheduled demolition project.

New club Forum Digbeth is set to host some “previously scheduled events” that were planned in its former building. The new space is located in a warehouse on Glover Street, taking over the former Roller Jam site.

“With a 2,000 capacity and a raw, warehouse-style aesthetic, Forum Digbeth is currently undergoing phased renovations,” they said on Instagram. “Most importantly, the iconic D&B Audiotechnik soundsystem from the former Forum Birmingham site has already been installed.”

The full schedule for Forum Digbeth, which promises to include “world-class talent and highly-regarded promoters,” will be revealed soon.
