A new nightclub located in a former church is set to debut in Belfast city center.

Promoted by Reckless Raves, THE TEMPLE aims to be "a sanctuary for fans of harder sounds," featuring parties that run from day to night, inspired by "European daytime rave culture."

THE TEMPLE will open its doors for the first time on September 13 with "The Initiation," a day rave showcasing "hard techno, industrial, and raw" sounds from 3 PM to 11 PM, followed by an after-party. The lineup for the event will be revealed soon.

Situated in the deconsecrated Carlisle Memorial Methodist Church in Carlisle Circus, Belfast, the building is noted as one of the citys "most striking," originally constructed in 1857.

This church has served as an event space since the 90s but was deemed an "endangered heritage site" before undergoing extensive roof repairs in 2012 and 2015.

"The goal was never just to throw a party, but the aim has always been to reshape the rave experience here in Belfast and provide something as unique as possible for the citys ravers," stated the team behind the club.
